Bilal is a Solicitor at CFG Law and joined the team in 2017. He has over 6 years’ experience in personal injury law, particular in handling serious injury claims. His specific focus has been traumatic brain injury, psychiatric disorders and severe orthopaedic injuries including CPRS, amputation and chronic pain. He has been heavily involved in several multi-million pound settlement cases with leading Queens Counsel.
Bilal has a particular interest in both traumatic and subtle brain injuries. He regularly works alongside leading medico legal experts in the field of Neurology/Neurosurgery, Neuropsychology and Neuropsychiatry to ensure an accurate diagnosis of head injury is identified. His primary focus involves introducing specialists from an early outset, to conduct an initial assessment of the client’s symptoms with a view to implementing a bespoke rehabilitation plan. This often includes a multi-disciplinary team approach of treating clinicians.
Bilal also has a good understanding of the complex issues that can arise after a brain injury. This includes problems with decision making (mental capacity) of those client who are particularly most vulnerable. Bilal believes in a very closely monitored approach throughout the case in identifying key issues and symptoms which require both immediate and long term future needs (i.e., accommodation needs, support workers, case management).
Bilal adopts a collective approach which includes obtaining detailed witness statements from family members and close friends to assist with identifying the client’s day to day challenges following a serious, life changing injury. He also works closely with family members and carers of those injured, to ensure an effective support system is put in place both during and after settlement of the claim.
Bilal has participated in various charity events supporting people with head injury and raising awareness of the problems faced.← Go back to team page
