Lorna is a senior associate solicitor at CFG, specialising in supporting people after life-changing injuries. With many years of experience handling complex and high-value cases, Lorna works with clients and their families after severe traumatic brain injuries, amputations, spinal cord injuries and other serious and catastrophic injuries. She is known for her calm and compassionate approach, guiding families through the immediate aftermath of injury and beyond, with a strong focus on early intervention and long-term outcomes.
A key part of Lorna’s role involves working alongside case managers to get early support and rehabilitation in place as soon as possible. She is proactive in securing substantial interim payments to fund essential treatment, care, aids, adaptive equipment, specialist vehicles and suitable accommodation, amongst other things. Lorna ensures that her clients access everything they need to rebuild their lives, without delay.
Lorna has extensive experience in some of the most severe cases, including those where the injured person lacks mental capacity. She regularly coordinates mental capacity assessments and works alongside our Court of Protection team to ensure a deputy is appointed to support the client’s best interests. This collaborative approach means that she is always thinking ahead, making sure everything is in place to safeguard the client’s wellbeing both during and after their claim.
