We are named as trusted legal partner of the Spinal Injuries Association

We are thrilled to announce that we are now a Trusted Legal Partner of the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA), as we continue our drive to help more people affected by injury.

This partnership will see our specialist spinal cord injury experts working alongside the SIA and its team of support workers and volunteers across the North East and Yorkshire to help those affected by spinal cord injury (SCI), their families and friends.

It is the latest collaborative initiative between ourselves and the SIA, building on the success of our awareness-raising work around snapshots of SCI. These aim to highlight the importance of medical and support specialists working with the families and friends as well as the injured person to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved in all cases.

We will work with the SIA in Yorkshire and the North East from our consulting office in Sunderland, as well as our other offices in Cheadle, Manchester and our consulting office in Oxford.

And our partnership will see further snapshots developed of people from the region, beginning with a trio of profiles of North Yorkshire-based road safety campaigner Lauren Doherty and her mother and father.

Lauren, a regular blogger on life with spinal cord injury on our website, sustained an SCI in 2008 when a van struck her after a night out. She now runs her own charity Road Safety Talks educating children and adults on the importance of road safety.

Our experts will also support the SIA’s teams with training and support sessions for the charity’s team and people living with SCI across the region, which includes:

  • Durham
  • East Yorkshire
  • North Cumbria
  • Northumberland
  • North Yorkshire
  • Teesside
  • Tyne and Wear
  • West Yorkshire

Richard Clark, Chief Executive Officer at CFG Law, said: “We’re proud to be a Trusted Legal Partner of the SIA, building on the strong partnership we already have with this fantastic charity. It’s another endorsement of the work we do and how we support people through our award-winning Client First Service.

“Both ourselves and the SIA share the same purpose of supporting people living with SCI – both the injured person themselves and their family and friends – to ensure they achieve their best possible outcome and live fulfilled lives.

“We’re really excited to begin this new stage of our partnership with the SIA and look forward to helping more people affected by injury – together.”

We were awarded the SIA’s Rebuilding Lives Torch Trophy for its commitment to working with the charity and its fundraising work. The team was also named the PI Team of the Year for the second year running at the Manchester Legal Awards earlier this year, while our innovative Client First Service gained national recognition when it won the Excellence in Client Service Award at the Law Society Excellence Awards in 2019.
