Will my family members have to be my carers?

Some people after spinal cord injury do have care from their family. But you should always have a care assessment so that you know what your options are and what support may be available. Having a good family life is essential, and this doesn’t have to include care. How much care you need will be looked at as part of your claim, and the cost will be added to the total settlement we negotiate for you.
